In addition to the expected new units, a city ordinance has allowed for up to 25 percent of the development to be used for commercial purposes without impacting the 398 permitted units. Thanks to this ordinance, plans are underway for a 160-room hotel which may benefit from being one of the area’s only land parcels to fall under the older, greater height limit of 85 feet.
